About the Tournament
The Junkanoo Jam offers women’s college basketball teams a chance for excellent early season competition on the beaches of the Bahamas. Since the tournament’s inception in 2002, many of the nation’s finest women’s programs have converged on Grand Bahama Island to test their skills and enjoy some fun in the sun. 2014 marks our 12th annual event in Freeport and the competition will again deem Junkanoo Jam one of the top tournaments in the nation. Each participating program will play 2 non-conference games, dine and socialize beside the ocean for the popular Thanksgiving banquet, and be given the chance to jet-ski, swim with dolphins, snorkel, and more!
